Make sense of the world with humor.

Allies & Assholes is a free ebook that breaks down complicated world affairs into funny stories, enjoyable banter, and a little bit of sass. Download below the jump.

Starring the United States, Russia, China, Japan, and North and South Korea, this book offers six chapters that explore how much these countries love or hate each other. Each chapter includes an autobiography, a relationship cheat sheet, a detailed look at how X feels about Y written from that country’s POV, excerpts from and links to relevant P&P stories, and a Further Reading section for quenching your thirst for knowledge.

If you like quick reads, political or historical humor, current events, or East Asia, Allies & Assholes is perfect for you.

Download it here & enjoy

It’d mean a lot to me if you’d share the love through reblogs, retweet, or links. If this is successful, I could be writing a second volume with countries of YOUR choosing.

Thank you so much for everything. Happy holidays.

Author: Allison Black

Allison is an author, nerd, and international relations major who loves bad political jokes. When she's not writing or gushing about global affairs, she's playing video games. One day she will have a Ph.D., speak Korean fluently, and command an army of chihuahuas.

  1. Reblogged this on babbitman and commented:
Confused by East Asian international politics? A resurgent China, confident South Korea, wealthy Japan and prestige-seeking Russia – they all have reasons to detest each other. Then add in the USA (de facto regional shot-caller since WW2) and the unpredictable basket-case that is North Korea and you’ve got quite a soap opera.

Sarah ‘prejudice&politics’ Bruso has produced a handy pdf to guide you through the characters and their motivations. Short, sweet and entertaining. And free to download. What more could you possibly ask for at Christmas?

Just don’t ask for world peace…
